South Bristol Divers is a club made up of a mixed bunch of people, each with their individual characteristics.

As a club we recognise that it is each and every one of these characters that make the club what it is today; A group of fun loving, friendly people sharing their enjoyment of the underwater world.

Bonding and befriending happens naturally within the club. We try to ensure that all members feel welcome and included on a dive site, or in the pub. Weekend trips and holidays are especially good as the prolonged close proximity with members creates bonds.

We always welcome and encourage non diving and family members to attend any and all club events. Especially as not always, partners or children are divers.

We regularly have non diving club social events, organised through our social secretaries. These can include a variety of events including: Dining-out, Theatre trips, Horse Riding, Social get togethers, Dancing, Shows, Jet Skiing, Go Karting, Paintball, Chamber dives, Gliding, Activity Sports and many more.

We are a non- profit making Club, not a Company, where our members choose to spend their free time. As such we focus great importance on being a friendly, fun and inviting place to be.

We have adopted The British Sub Aqua Club's welfare policy. All instructors are CRB checked and all members are self declared. Practising the welfare policy ensures that as a club we conduct ourselves appropriately, and addequately protect children and vulnerable people so that no one person ever feels uncomfortable.
