Never Dived Before? You could start with just £10!

South Bristol Divers are Bristol's friendliest dive club - we might be smaller than some other dive clubs but that means we can guarantee you the attention you need while you're learning and ensure that you have great access to equipment, training and boats.  Most of your training will be one-on-one with an instructor and while we may not have a clubhouse it does mean our membership costs are among the lowest going!  We currently charge just £142 for a year's membership.  This includes all training to instructor level as well as many other benefits of diving in a club environment.


All our instructors are volunteers with many years experience.  This not only means you will be diving in the safest possible environment but also ensures the experience will cost you far less than with other dive schools.  For starters we don't charge for training - all instruction is included within your annual membership fees.  Secondly we have all the equipment you need while you're training.  For the dives where there is a charge (this might include entry to quarries, fuel for the boat or refills of air) we stick to our not-for-profit background, meaning your diving costs a fraction of some other clubs and schools.

If you are interested in joining (and we hope you are!) the following two options are designed to get you into the water as quickly as possible:

£10 Try Dive
Come along and have a dive of around 45 minutes in our swimming pool with our qualified instructors.  You will be slowly introduced to breathing and swimming underwater using scuba equipment.  Its a fantastic sensation being able to stay under and breathe normally. This is the perfect way to test and see if you will like it.

We doubt you'll find anyone else offering a try dive this cheap, however we'll even refund the cost if you end up joining the club.

£20 Introduction to Scuba Diving Course
Come along and have two lessons lasting around 45 minutes each in our swimming pool and an introductory theory lesson with our qualified instructors.  You will be introduced to the club, snorkelling, breathing and swimming underwater using scuba equipment, and begin learning basic skills.  If you decide to continue learning to dive this course counts towards your Ocean Diver qualification. Your £20 fee is deducted from your club membership if you choose to join.
